Students at Tong High School are celebrating today after collecting the GCSE results, which show an improvement on last year’s performance.
40% of students achieved the government’s benchmark of A*-C grades in Maths and English – up by 6 percentage points on last year.
Today’s results demonstrate the strong progress the school is making, and shows that the hard work the school is undertaking to drive up standards is having a positive impact on the life chances of students.
The school is set to become an academy in September and it is confident this will help to bring further improvement to students’ educational achievements.
